Savor the Sea: The Health Benefits of a Delicious Chilean Sea Bass Meal

chilean sea bass dinner ideas easy to follow recipe healthy living healthy recipe pan seared chilean sea bass Feb 15, 2024

Chilean sea bass, known for its delicate flavor and flaky texture, is not only a culinary delight but also a nutritious addition to one's diet. It is extremely rich in omega-3 fatty acids. This is a great way to reduce inflammation, lower blood pressure, promote brain and heart health, and help protect against numerous chronic conditions such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and Crohn's disease. Additionally, Chilean sea bass is an excellent source of high-quality protein, which as we know is  essential for muscle repair and growth, as well as for overall cellular function. Its abundance of vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin D, selenium, and magnesium, further contributes to its nutritional value, supporting bone health and immune function.

Incorporating fish into one's diet is crucial for maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Fish, including Chilean sea bass, provides a lean source of protein, which is vital for building and repairing tissues within the body. Unlike many other protein sources, fish is low in saturated fats and cholesterol, making it a heart-healthy option. Including fish like Chilean sea bass in your diet not only adds variety to meals but also ensures that you're meeting your nutritional needs in a delicious and healthful way!

I’ve been making this meal weekly and have finally found the perfect recipe. The best part (other than how great it tastes) is it’s high in protein, low in fat and has ZERO carbs. So, now that I’ve told you all the health benefits, let me tell you how to make it so you can taste how great it is!

Ingredients (serves 2)

+ 1 lb to 1.10 lb of wild caught Chilean Sea Bass (pro tip: I use the meat more towards the tail so it’s boneless)

+ garlic

+ Truly Grass Fed butter

+ oregano

+ sliced lemons

+ cilantro

Directions

  1. Pat dry the fish
  2. Salt and pepper both sides to your liking
  3. Butter the pan then place the fish skin down first (second pro tip: this detail is important!)
  4. Start a 6-minute timer
  5. Add your butter, minced garlic and oregano in a small bowl. Microwave for 30-60 seconds and stir
  6. Once your timer goes off, pour the butter combo on top
  7. Flip the fish and top it off with sliced lemons
  8. Let it cook for another 6 minutes
  9. Take it off the pan
  10. Garnish it with cilantro and serve immediately
